Jenny Zatezalo Morris - Oboe Instructor

Oboist Jenny Z. Morris has been teaching students at Kerr’s Music World for over ten years. She has played extensively throughout the Kanawha Valley and beyond with orchestras such as the Huntington Symphony, River Cities Symphony Orchestra, Ohio Valley Symphony, Southeast Ohio Symphony, Seneca Chamber Orchestra and the WV Symphony. She has enjoyed summer playing with the Lakeside Summer Orchestra in Ohio, and playing and teaching at Allegheny College’s Band Camp for Adult Musicians in Pennsylvania. She has played and recorded with local choral groups such as WomanSong, Appalachian Childrens Choir, and Cantabile. Many of her students have participated in WV All-State Band and Orchestra, as well as All-County programs and Solo & Ensemble Festivals. Her schooling includes Bachelor of Music from WVU, Master of Music from State University of NY at Stony Brook, and Bachelor of Music Education from Glenville State College. Her oboe students have ranged from sixth grade to 74 years old. She endeavors to bring out the best in all her students, helping them meet their goals. When not practicing or making reeds, Jenny participates musically in the ministries of her home church. Her hobbies include knitting and working out with weights. In her spare time, she is an armchair ice skating fanatic!
